Depression and Bi-Polar

Hello Everyone,

I visited my son and his girlfriend while in Dallas attending the Raindrop Training with Dr. Young…  In a conversation at dinner, my son, Evan shared with me a sad story of a close friend whose marriage ended because his wife was bi-polar

I believe the following stories may provide hope to others who may be suffering from depression or bi-polar…  Please share…

If you or a loved one are suffering, I pray God blesses and heals you and/or your loved one …

Janice writes: I suffered from depression for a short while with a very stressful job. My doctor gave me a prescription drug for it. I did not want to go that route but had no choice. A few months later, I was introduced to the oils. One of the oils was Peace and Calming for depression. I slowly weaned myself off the depression drug and have been rubbing Peace and Calming on my feet every day. No more depression! Wow, these oils are a miracle!

Dawn writes: I had been taking an anti-depressant (Prozac) for a few years when I was introduced to RutaVaLa oil blend. I began by putting RutaVaLa on the back of my neck (bottom of the brain stem) before bed and taking a capsule of 4 to 5 drops in the morning or whenever I remembered. I did that for a few days and kept taking a little more Prozac out of the capsule and adding a drop or 2 of RutaVaLa. I did this until I had no more Prozac to remove. Now I just take one capsule of RutaVaLa once a week (about 8 to 10 drops) and no more Prozac.

Sheli writes: With the help of many essential oils, I am getting off Prozac. Along with excercise, light therapy and supplements I apply and smell the Young Living oils of Valor, Frankincense, Peace and Calming, etc. I am getting needed oxygen to my brain and cells. I feel blessed!

Nancy writes: I lost both beloved parents within 6 months and credit the following ‘formula’ for helping me out of a deep depression after the first death, and getting me through the second funeral with much more grace and dignity than I would’ve been able to muster without the oils. Put a drop of Valor on your wrist and hold your other wrist against it for a moment (it balances). Put Harmony on all chakra points, and a drop of Joy over your heart. Try this for grief or depression.

Hollie writes: Depression is a battle I fight on a daily basis. I was diagnosed with Bi-polar Disorder. I believe I have had this since I was a child, but was only diagnosed with this as an adult. I don’t like being on prescription drugs because they are not only expensive, but most of them are highly addictive and you never know what side affects you will have as a result of taking them. Since becoming aware of the wonderful benefits of using essential oils, I use Lavender and Peace & Calming essential oils on a daily basis. Then I discovered Joy oil blend which really made a difference! I don’t feel depressed or overwhelmed when I apply this on a daily basis. I apply 1-2 times a day the same as I apply oils for migraines. I love the smell of the Joy  – when I breathe it in, it brings me a sense of security.

Artemis writes: If you are on antidepressants and feel drawn to using oils, please be aware there are certain protocols to follow in safely coming off antidepressants. Please ask your medical professional to assist in monitoring you and guiding you in the best way to come off safely.

Jill adds: Dr. Ann Blake Tracy who wrote the book, “Prozac: Panacea or Pandora”, gives recommendations for properly discontinuing  anti-depressant drugs. Dr. Tracy recommends Young Living essential oils for discontinuing anti-depressants and for treating and preventing depression.

Headaches & Migraines

Jan writes: This last Saturday I had a migraine headache. They usually last for 3 days to the point I think I’m going to die.  I’ve used enzymes, peppermint oil and host of other things and nothing has worked for me personally.  This time after much prayer I began to notice my stomach did not feel right. Then the idea kept coming to my mind to try

Di-gize. After it came to mind over and over during the day, I finally began to think maybe this is God speaking.  So I put 6 drops of Di-Gize in an empty capsule and took it, the migraine started going away within minutes and after a couple of hours was completely gone. The next day the idea kept coming to my mind to look in the Essential Oils Desk Reference under migraine headaches and see if Di-Gize was listed.  So I looked and Di-Gize was NOT listed just as I had thought.  BUT the very first sentence said, “The vast majority of migraine headaches may be due to colon congestion or poor digestion.” Did I never read that before and just go straight to the list of recommendations??? I don’t know how I missed that sentence but I know how bad migraines are and I want everyone that has them or knows someone who does, to consider trying Di-Gize.  If your stomach is what is causing you or someone you love to have a migraine, a bottle of Di-Gize is a very low price to pay for relief and considering how many drops is in a bottle it is economical too.  I truly, truly hope this helps a fellow sufferer.

Artemis adds: I have another really good recipe for headaches, and I’ve used it in many of my classes with excellent results. I put 3 to 5 drops of Valor on the back of the neck, then 1 drop of Lavender on the temples, and a drop of Peppermint on the palms. Rub both palms together, cup them over the mouth (not too close – you don’t want to get peppermint oil on your face as it will be too strong), close your eyes (so the peppermint “fumes” don’t make your eyes water), and breathe deeply for 5 minutes. This has helped reduce most people’s headaches. However – it doesn’t work on my own headaches, and I put that down to the fact that headaches can have many different causes – digestion, neck misalignment, hormonal imbalance, etc. I find that Di-Gize (as mentioned above) is more effective on my headaches. So it’s really just a case of experimenting to find out what works best for you.

Jill adds: I have also seen Thieves applied to the tip of the tongue, held to the roof of the mouth while breathing deeply into the sinuses work wonders for migraines. Also, many people swear by the

oil blend, M-Grain.
